About VCU Senior Showcase
Every year, rising seniors audition to take part in Senior Showcase. They prepare and rehearse a live performance which is presented before casting directors, agents, and managers in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
Senior Showcase has always been invaluable to our students—a crucial step between their education and developing careers. Showcase creates the opportunity for our students to make professional connections— to start building a network within the industry and with fellow artists around the country.
We are so grateful for the support from our VCU community as these young artists make their debut as professional actors.
Our New Reality in 2020
VCUarts Theatre is proud to present our first Virtual Showcase, filmed entirely by the students themselves.
This project was specifically created to adjust to our current environment. Social distancing has affected the lives of so many at this moment, but its affect on the performing arts is unique.
As we collectively stay at home for the health of the greater community, arts and culture are needed more than ever. Originally planned as a live performance, Showcase has now become something that can be shared with the world.
This filmed Virtual Showcase demonstrates the actors’ enormous talent, their determination, resilience, and their love of performing, no matter what “the stage” might be.
We hope you enjoy seeing their work and the inspiration behind it.

VCUarts Theatre has a long history of preparing students for careers as theatre professionals. Our goal is to train well rounded actors who can take on a variety of roles. Proudly based in Richmond, Virginia, VCUarts Theatre is one of the largest theatre programs in the southeastern United States with prestigious faculty and alumni working in all aspects of theatre.
Our graduates not only practice theatre at the highest level of artistic quality, but also use theatre to reflect and affect society, politics, and culture.
